There's A Fire In My Heart.

I was lying in the bath the other day, when the flicker of the candle caught my eye. And then I started thinking about the candle, as if it was in my heart. How when the fire starts, your heart starts racing with excitement, awaiting its next move. And then the flame spreads, and it becomes a fire. And you can feel the heaviness in your heart, almost like you can't breathe. You're breathless and you feel it in your soul. It's so warm that you can't even scream out for help. And then your heart is burning. You can feel it coming to the end and then all of a sudden; you feel numb. You feel the darkness rushing over you like a blanket, and then it's done. You're done. You're just there, feeling heavy, burned and empty.

And that's how I'd describe depression. In its most simplest form.

MUSIC MONDAY

Hello Humans! I hope you are all well! Shall we just get into the music that I have been loving over the past week?
Hint? There's no Niall.

(Also if anyone could tell me where this gif is from, I'll be eternally grateful)

A N Y W A Y . . .

1. Sam Smith - One Last Song

Ugh, this song just gets me right in the feels. I was in the car, driving over to my dad's quickly to get my laptop on Friday evening, and this song came on the radio. And instantly, it hit a nerve. I've been here in the same moment and I was feeling the same things as Sam was. And it's just such a beautiful way of saying "fuck you I'm done with you for good." And I completely love that. Click here to listen to One Last Song on Spotify.

2. P!nk ft. Eminem - Revenge

Okay so I think I've missed the memo on everyone hating Eminem. WHEN did this become a thing because I love him???? What has he done? Everyone is calling P!nk stupid for collabing with him again!! I find this song sassy and just a typical P!nk song, and I honestly love it. She takes the piss in the song and I just think it's a funny song. Dunno why, but yes. I like this song. Okay?! Click here to listen to Revenge on Spotify.

3. The Vamps ft. Maggie Lindermann - Personal

Okay so I have been a secret(??) fan of The Vamps since they first released Can We Dance. I just don't talk about them often - I'm a silent listener. But oh my goodness Brad is dancing in this video and now I REALLY wanna watch it. I like this song. It's cute and simple and old-style Vamps. Which is what I like the most! Click here to listen to Personal on Spotify.

4. James TW - For You

Okay so there aren't enough James TW fans on Tumblr. Not enough that they make gifs of his new songs anyways. I cannot remember for the life of me, adding this to my playlist 2 days ago. Which means one thing: I was drunk. And if it spoke to me paralytic, then it's a fucking good song. I love James' songs and I adore this one. Click here to listen to For You on Spotify.

5. NF - Let You Down

This is a slight different genre than the rest... This song has a mixture of rap and singing - like P!nk's song I chose, but the lyrics are so fucking deep. I feel the emotions from the words when I hear this song, and it's so good!!! I highly recommend that you listen to this. Honestly. All I can say about it. It's just, wow. Click here to listen to Let You Down on Spotify.

And that's all I have for this week's Music Monday! I will be in Ireland next Monday, so fingers crossed I get some ideas while I'm there!

Thanks for reading -

12.11.2017.

This right here is my sanctuary. My safe haven, if you will. I usually lay here and think about the week I've had and make decisions for the next. But for once in my life, I found myself staring ahead at the wall, feeling nothing. Empty. Almost numb. There was nothing to think about - to plan. I was just in the moment, music on and candles lit. And I felt alive. Content.

It almost felt wrong. Being lost in a moment and feeling nothing but contentment. When you think about the world at the moment and everything that's happening. But it was nice. No heaviness, no worries - just the moment. And I wondered if it was because I was finally, truly happy. That I've let all the things that brought me down go, and I'm finally accepting this life, being who I want to be; with nothing holding me back.

And it's a nice feeling, and I hope it lasts forever.

MUSIC MONDAY

Hello Humans! I am back with a new installment of:
MUSIC MONDAY.

Okay! Let's get this done quickly, because I am tired and need to SLEEP!

1. Niall Horan - Flicker

Surprise, surprise it's another Niall song. Wow this song. It's so perfect, and beautiful and simple. And I just love it. The words are just amazing and it's one of those songs on the album, that makes you sit there and really listen to the words. Niall is truly a masterpiece when it comes to writing heart-wrenching songs. And this one is a good 'un! Click here to listen to Flicker on Spotify.

2. Rita Ora - Lonely Together

And of course I had to add another song from my Queen. GUESS WHO GOT RITA ORA TICKETS?! ME! I hear this song every day on the radio while I'm at work and it just instantly makes me feel better. Although on the other hand, it's a song that reminds me of a moment in my life when I was so invested in a boy, and it reminds me of being back in those moments, and feeling the same things as in the song. Click here to listen to Lonely Together by Rita Ora.

3. Liam Payne - Bedroom Floor

So as this is posted, the music video has JUST come out!!! Bella Thorne is in it, and I get that people don't like her and all that shite, but listen. It's a very smart marketing move. Get the person everyone's talking about in your music video and you know everyone's gonna watch it, because she's always been talked about in the media. Now. Bedroom Floor. This took me a while to get into and I have NO IDEA WHY! Liam's great and I love his voice. I just think his style of music isn't something I'm into, but I have to be in the mood. HOWEVER, I love this song now and I love him. Click here to listen to Bedroom Floor on Spotify.

4. Bebe Rexha - Meant To Be.

How great is Bebe Rexha? I am fucking obsessed with her social media presence AND her music!!! Her music is always so upbeat and fun, and I think it really expresses her personality. The music video is also amazing!! Her acting in it is great and ugh!!! I just love it. Click here to listen to Meant To Be on Spotify.

5. Harry Styles - Girl Crush (Cover)

I mean... What the fuck can I even say about this song? I am obsessed with Harry's version!! He sings it on tour, he sings it on a BBC special. It's magical the way he sings it and I am LIVING for it!!! Honestly, if you haven't listened to it already, get listening to his cover. There's just something so emotional in the way he sings it. Click here to listen to Girl Crush (Cover) on Spotify.

And that is me done for another round of music!! Let me know what you have been loving in the comments.

I'm now off to bed...

See ya soon!!

What I Ate Wednesday.

Hello Humans! I hope you're all well!

Today I thought I would bring an old segment (if you are following me over from my old platform, then you are aware of this), and bring back my What I Ate Wednesday posts! This time around, I thought I would just show you one meal, because otherwise the posts get boring and my "best" meals are always my tea(dinner). So this week's What I Ate Wednesday is:

Fish and vegetables

Ingredients:

  • Cod fish
  • Baby sweetcorn
  • Asparagus
  • Cabbage
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Basil
  • Garlic
Recipe:

  1. Place the fish in tin foil and season the cod fish with salt, pepper and garlic on both sides. Once you have done this, season the top of the fish with basil for extra seasoning and wrap the tin foil around the fish.
  2. Put in the oven on Gas Mark () and leave in for 30 minutes.
  3. When you are halfway through cooking your fish, start boiling your cabbage.
  4. For the last ten minutes, start boiling the baby sweetcorn.
  5. For the last five minutes, start boiling the asparagus.
  6. When the 30 minutes are up, take the fish out of the oven and then out of the tinfoil - carefully - and place it onto your plate. Then turn off your veg and put on your plate.
  7. And there you go! Eat your delicious and healthy meal!

And there is an insight on the kinds of meals I am now eating on an evening!

Let me know in the comments what you've been loving and we'll exchange recipes.

Bye for now!
